1. Who Can Use Cabled

You must be at least 16 years old (or 13 with parental consent, where local law permits) to create a Cabled account. By creating an account you confirm you meet this age requirement.

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

2. Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you upload to Cabled, including project details, photos, and notes ("Your Content").

By uploading photos to Cabled, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, display, and process Your Content solely for the purpose of providing the App to you.

You may separately grant us permission to use specific photos in Cabled's marketing materials by enabling marketing consent on individual photos in the App. This consent is optional, separable, and can be withdrawn at any time from the Account screen. We will not use any photo in marketing without your explicit consent for that photo.

You confirm that any content you upload is your own or that you have the right to upload it, and that it does not infringe the rights of any third party.

3. What You Can't Do

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or data
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract the source code of the App
• Use automated tools to access or interact with the App
• Upload content that is harmful, abusive, defamatory, or violates the rights of others
• Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit access to the App
• Use the App in any way that could damage, disable, or impair our servers or networks

4. Subscriptions and Payments

Cabled offers both free and paid subscription tiers ("Cabled Pro"). Subscription pricing and features are described within the App.

Paid subscriptions are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, subject to their respective terms. Cancellation and refund requests must be made through the platform where you purchased the subscription.

Subscription fees auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with reasonable notice.

5. Changes to the App

We may add, modify, or remove features at any time. We will give reasonable notice of material changes that significantly reduce functionality. We are not liable for any modifications, suspensions, or discontinuation of any feature or the App as a whole.

6. Account Termination

You can delete your account at any time from the Account screen.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent or abusive behavior, or for legal reasons. Where possible, we will give you notice and an opportunity to address the issue first.

Upon termination, your right to use the App ends immediately. Your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

7. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we make no warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. Your knitting data is important to you, and we treat it as such, but we recommend you do not rely on Cabled as the only record of significant information.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Cabled will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or business, arising from your use of the App.

Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the App will not exceed the amount you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or £50, whichever is greater.

Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Cabled harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the App, or your infringement of any third-party rights.

10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

For users in the UK or EU: any disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales, except where mandatory consumer law in your country of residence grants you the right to bring proceedings in your local courts.

For users outside the UK and EU: you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or by email. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
